CMN Hospitals at CoxHealth is finalist for $50,000 Hope at Work Award

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at CoxHealth is pleased to announce that it is one of 26 finalists across the U.S. for Pella Corporation’s Hope at Work award.

Hope At Work recognizes organizations that have gone above and beyond to care for their local communities. Members of the public will be able to vote once per day for their organization of choice to help choose the winner, and Pella Corporation is awarding $50,000 to the organization with the most votes. Voting is now open, and continues through August 24.

“We are humbled to be selected as a finalist for this award,” says Tim Siebert, executive director of CMN Hospitals at CoxHealth. “To win, we will need everyone’s help by voting for us each day, now through August 24. Let’s show everyone across the country how much we care about our children here in the Ozarks.”  

CMN Hospitals at CoxHealth funds a variety of initiatives to help children in the community. A few examples include:

• The purchase of life-saving equipment for affiliate hospitals and ambulances.
• The Special Needs Fund, which offers direct financial assistance for special medical needs not covered by private insurance or Medicaid. This fund covers needs including prosthetics, wheelchairs, leg braces, hearing aids, prescriptions and travel expenses for out-of-town doctor appointments.
• Family Care Grants, which provide financial assistance for families whose children have been hospitalized or need specialized therapy.
• Educational programs to prevent injury and illness, such as Wasted, an anti-drinking and driving campaign; Never Shake a Baby, to prevent shaken baby syndrome; Cardiac Kids, a program that identifies area children at risk for developing heart disease or diabetes and teaches them how to live healthy; as well as programs related to care seat, water and bicycle safety.
• The CARE Mobile, a mobile health clinic providing health screenings and immunizations to children who have limited access to health care.
• Support for school-based telemedicine, which helps local kids receive healthcare at school so they can get back to class quickly.

Organizations were nominated by Pella branches across the United States, with finalists selected by leaders from throughout the company.

They have gone above and beyond to solve challenges and help people. We’re proud to honor and recognize each finalist.”

All voters will be required to enter their email address and can vote one time per day during the voting time frame.
