Theodros Zemanuel, DO

Hi there! I’m Theodros, but I usually go by Theo. I am originally from Dallas, Texas, but have lived in Nevada, California and Georgia throughout my childhood and college years. I received my bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of Nevada, Reno (GO WOLFPACK!). I attended medical school at ATSU in Kirksville, Missouri …(good times, kinda).

Now, here I am in Springfield for residency. I chose to specialize in family medicine because it afforded me the training to treat anyone, while also providing the variability in practice settings so I could figure out where I would want to practice in the meantime. I chose CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency simply because of their people. They do such a great job at fostering an awesome environment where residents and students can learn while also being an integral part of the team. I believe the training I receive here will allow me to go absolutely anywhere and thrive.

During my free time (very limited, free time), I enjoy staying active by either playing tennis, swimming or resistance training. My hobbies also include reading fictional thrillers, DIY work on my home or car, photography, and of course, binge watching or listening to shows/podcasts.

I look forward to learning from and serving the Springfield community during the next three years!
