Hi! My name is Victoria, and I was born on Whiteman Air Force Base in the small town of Knob Noster, Missouri. Shortly after I was born, my father retired from the military, but my family stayed in Knob Noster, where I grew up. Growing up in a military family and town was a unique experience that I am so very proud and thankful for and would not trade for anything.

I am the youngest of three turkeys, as my mother calls us, and grew up as more of an only child because of the age difference between my siblings and me. Since then, my family has grown in size, and I now have one awesome niece and two adorable nephews. I love them dearly and enjoy being “The Cool Aunt.”

After graduating from high school, I attended Missouri State University here in Springfield and majored in Cell and Molecular Biology. I truly enjoyed being a CMB and my experience at MSU, and I was lucky enough to attend medical school with some of my undergraduate colleagues.

For the first two years of my medical training, I attended A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri. I had heard about the CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency at our annual Hospital Day and knew from then on I wanted to return to Springfield for my clinical training. During those clinical years I decided I wanted to become a family medicine physician. I love all the diversity that family medicine gives in regard to patient populations and diagnoses, as well as the opportunity to really get to know patients and form relationships. I believe that Cox is truly where I can achieve full-scope family medicine training, while at the same time providing all aspects of family medicine that I love most.

In my spare time (I’m not sure what this is exactly), I enjoy hanging out with friends and family. I love having conversations, so naturally I enjoy anything social. I also love playing and watching sports, both of which I have been doing since I was a young child. My other hobbies include listening to music, crafting and honestly anything new. I’m always up for a new activity! I am super excited to be back in Springfield and give back to a community that has given so much to me!
