Additional learning experiences occur at Faith Community Health in Branson and in partnership with the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Pharmacy at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. Please refer to the CoxHealth About Us page for additional information and specific facts regarding our facilities.Residency OverviewPlease refer to the CoxHealth Pharmacy Residencies Manual.Program DescriptionThe mission of the CoxHealth PGY2 ambulatory care program is to cultivate clinical practice skills that grow the resident into a confident and experienced clinical practitioner. The residency program provides opportunities in leadership, future clinical practice site development, and a personalized residency experience tailored to the professional goals of the resident. The resident will have longitudinal primary care exposure at various practice sites, each concentrating on distinct patient populations: family medicine, internal medicine, and geriatrics. In addition, the resident will rotate through other specialty clinics to further reinforce complex disease state management as well as areas of clinical interest such as endocrinology, cardiology, population health, transitions of care, and academia.Number of Residency Positions Available: 1Duration of Appointment: 54-week appointment Salary: $56,300 for 54-week appointmentStaffing RequirementsResidents will staff during the week for 16 hours/month in an ambulatory care clinic.No required holidays, but must take ETO or work on projects for any non-worked holidaysYou will not receive holiday pay for time spent on projects Teaching Certificate ProgramA teaching certificate program through the University of Missouri-Kansas City is encouraged for all residents who did not receive one during their PGY1, but is not a requirement of the residency. Cost will be covered by the residency program should a resident choose to enroll.
