In 2016, Springfield Neurological and Spine Institute and CoxHealth integrated in neuroscience care and opened the Jared Neuroscience Center. The new Jared Neuroscience Center located in the West tower at Cox Medical Center South, has three floors dedicated to in-patient and outpatient neurological care, including private patient rooms, a rehabilitation gym, physician clinics, imaging center and specialty clinics for ALS and Parkinson's patients. The center also has resources for patient families, including a welcome center, outdoor healing garden, family lounge and more.
Cox South is the region's only Comprehensive Stroke Center certified by DNV GL. Our nationally recognized stroke neurology team has met the standards of “Stroke Gold Plus Status” from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. In addition, we have the region’s largest group of board-certified neurologists for office-based care.
