CoxHealth hospitals receive “Get With The Guidelines” awards

Cox South, Cox Branson and Cox Monett have been recognized with “Get With the Guidelines” awards by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. The awards reflect the hospitals’ commitment to providing the most appropriate stroke treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines tied to the latest scientific evidence.

• Cox South earned the Get With The Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus with Target Stroke Elite Plus Honor Roll and the Get With The Guidelines – Resuscitation Silver – Pediatric
• Cox Branson earned the Get With The Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus with Target Stroke Elite Honor Roll
• Cox Monett earned the Get With The Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus

The hospitals earned the awards by meeting specific quality achievement measures for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke and cardiac patients at a set level for a designated period. Additionally, patients should receive education on managing their health and get a follow-up visit scheduled, as well as other care transition interventions, before discharge.
