You’ll learn prevention measures from medical professionals with years of experience in caring for breast cancer patients. At your first appointment, you’ll meet a breast surgeon and physician assistant to discuss your medical history and develop a personalized plan specific to your breast cancer risk. We’ll also discuss ways you may reduce your risk, and assess whether genetic testing is appropriate for your situation. We’ll share a summary of your plan with your gynecologist or family physician, and if your situation requires the expertise of additional health professionals, we will make those referrals. If you have received your second COVID-19 vaccine shot, please wait four to six weeks to schedule your mammogram.Your TeamOur clinic works as a team with the Missouri Surgical Center for Breast Health and the breast surgeons at CoxHealth.
